Big surprise: Wife of former IRS director works for liberal group ‘laying the foundation for reform’

We already know that Big Media & the Obama Administration are in cahoots, and we know that there are some familial relationships between people in the Obama Administration and some of the big networks.

These Familial Relationships between Big Media & Obama’s Administration continue to show the arrogance or “the one”

Before we get to the story, cue Drebin:

From the Daily Caller:

Shulman’s wife Susan L. Anderson is the senior program advisor for the Washington-based nonprofit organization Public Campaign, which claims that it “is laying the foundation for reform by working with a broad range of organizations, including local community groups, around the country that are fighting for change and national organizations whose members are not fairly represented under the current campaign finance system.”

That “broad range of organizations” Public Campaign works with wouldn’t include the IRS, would it?

To top off the curious connection, the CEO of the organization Shulman’s wife works for downplayed conservatives’ concerns:

“There are legitimate questions to be asked about political groups that are hiding behind a 501(c)4 status,” Nyhart said in a statement provide to ABC. “It’s unfortunate a few bad apples at the IRS will make it harder for those questions to be asked without claims of bias.”

As of right now the number of “few bad apples” looks like it could be around 88.

In a related story, the new defense of the Obama administration is that Shulman didn’t visit the White House well over 100 times within a two year period, but rather the number of visits could have been as low as 11.

At about the 1:10 mark of the video below from a House hearing, Virginia Democrat Gerry Connolly mentions to Shulman that he visited the White House 118 times and Shulman didn’t object at all. You’d think the difference between 11 and 118 would be so great that Shulman would have wanted to correct the record:

Even a White House spokesperson wasn’t going to try to spin 157 down to 11:

When asked about Pfeiffer’s tweet in the White House press briefing Friday afternoon, White House Deputy Press Secretary Josh Earnest did not dispute that Shulman visited the White House at least 157 times, only saying that the president was committed to “transparency” and that most of the meetings Shulman attended involved Obamacare.

Earnest forgot about all the Easter Egg Rolls.

Update: More of your tax dollars at play.

Facebook Blocks ‘Star Spangled’ Cover by Conservative Rockers

By janetsmirkee@gmail.com

Yes IRS progressives, Facebook is with you too

Indie bands like Madison Rising need the power of social media more than a Radiohead or Rolling Stones. So when the conservative rockers’ cover of The Star-Spangled Banner caught fire on sites like Facebook and Twitter last month it was very good news, indeed.

That social media love abruptly stopped, and it took weeks before the band’s manager Richard Mgrdechian found out why. The answer has Mgrdechian wondering if the band’s conservative bent made it a target[…]

The social media giant finally offered its rationale for the blockage earlier this week. The link in question was incorrectly identified as spam and blocked, but the problem had been rectified.

[Read it all]

As Howie said a couple days ago:

A search for the terrorist group Jabhat al-Nusra on Facebook today returns about 55,400 results and somehow I doubt those are all folks advocating against Jihad

The Grounding of Big Government

By Glenn Reynolds

GREG GUTFELD: THE GROUNDING OF BIG GOVERNMENT. “Nevermind the appeasers–the IRS scandal IS a big deal. It’s such a big deal, it could ruin the agency forever, and take a few others down with it. And sure, it’s a lot of fun on the right to be clamoring for scalps–like, who should be fired and how many. But pink slips are small potatoes. The end game is way, way bigger than that stuff. What we are witnessing is a collapse of trust in big government, which ultimately–to our benefit as small-government types–leads to a permanent undermining of the whole system.”

Or as Peggy Noonan said: “What does it mean when half the country—literally half the country—understands that the revenue-gathering arm of its federal government is politically corrupt, sees them as targets, and will shoot at them if they try to raise their heads? That is the kind of thing that can kill a country, letting half its citizens believe that they no longer have full political rights.”

My thoughts on Obama in 2008

When Oblamer was running for the Presidency the first time, I couldn’t understand why anyone would vote for him. I understand that the black community (come on, African American – seriously?) was excited to have a Black American in the highest seat in America. I get that, but Oblamer? Why not someone with a little integrity? Someone with a history of doing something other than voting “Present”?

I made the statement to a co-worker that I believed by the end of his first term Christians would be going underground. She looked at me like I was a paranoid conspiracy nut.

Was I?

Unfortunately, these aren’t even the tip of the iceberg. It’s happening on a frighteningly regular basis. When did Christianity become something to be ashamed of and hidden? Our bible tells us to proclaim Jesus from the rooftops, but today’s society tells us to keep Him under our hat. That’s bad enough, but when the courts start agreeing with people/organizations like the “Freedom From Religion” group, it makes for a very unfriendly place for Christians. If it were all religion being stifled, at least it would be “fair”, but it seems to only be directed at the Judeo-Christians.

When did freedom start meaning you can only say something if it’s something the liberals agree with?
