Big surprise: Wife of former IRS director works for liberal group ‘laying the foundation for reform’

We already know that Big Media & the Obama Administration are in cahoots, and we know that there are some familial relationships between people in the Obama Administration and some of the big networks.

These Familial Relationships between Big Media & Obama’s Administration continue to show the arrogance or “the one”

Before we get to the story, cue Drebin:

From the Daily Caller:

Shulman’s wife Susan L. Anderson is the senior program advisor for the Washington-based nonprofit organization Public Campaign, which claims that it “is laying the foundation for reform by working with a broad range of organizations, including local community groups, around the country that are fighting for change and national organizations whose members are not fairly represented under the current campaign finance system.”

That “broad range of organizations” Public Campaign works with wouldn’t include the IRS, would it?

To top off the curious connection, the CEO of the organization Shulman’s wife works for downplayed conservatives’ concerns:

“There are legitimate questions to be asked about political groups that are hiding behind a 501(c)4 status,” Nyhart said in a statement provide to ABC. “It’s unfortunate a few bad apples at the IRS will make it harder for those questions to be asked without claims of bias.”

As of right now the number of “few bad apples” looks like it could be around 88.

In a related story, the new defense of the Obama administration is that Shulman didn’t visit the White House well over 100 times within a two year period, but rather the number of visits could have been as low as 11.

At about the 1:10 mark of the video below from a House hearing, Virginia Democrat Gerry Connolly mentions to Shulman that he visited the White House 118 times and Shulman didn’t object at all. You’d think the difference between 11 and 118 would be so great that Shulman would have wanted to correct the record:

Even a White House spokesperson wasn’t going to try to spin 157 down to 11:

When asked about Pfeiffer’s tweet in the White House press briefing Friday afternoon, White House Deputy Press Secretary Josh Earnest did not dispute that Shulman visited the White House at least 157 times, only saying that the president was committed to “transparency” and that most of the meetings Shulman attended involved Obamacare.

Earnest forgot about all the Easter Egg Rolls.

Update: More of your tax dollars at play.

The Grounding of Big Government

By Glenn Reynolds

GREG GUTFELD: THE GROUNDING OF BIG GOVERNMENT. “Nevermind the appeasers–the IRS scandal IS a big deal. It’s such a big deal, it could ruin the agency forever, and take a few others down with it. And sure, it’s a lot of fun on the right to be clamoring for scalps–like, who should be fired and how many. But pink slips are small potatoes. The end game is way, way bigger than that stuff. What we are witnessing is a collapse of trust in big government, which ultimately–to our benefit as small-government types–leads to a permanent undermining of the whole system.”

Or as Peggy Noonan said: “What does it mean when half the country—literally half the country—understands that the revenue-gathering arm of its federal government is politically corrupt, sees them as targets, and will shoot at them if they try to raise their heads? That is the kind of thing that can kill a country, letting half its citizens believe that they no longer have full political rights.”

Obama Administration Bullies

I haven’t written any new posts in a while for a couple of different reasons. One, I am really unhappy with the state of my website now. I wanted to move everything over from the sub-directory to the main directory so that you, my readers, could just type in http://www.progressiveinsanity.com and you’d get me. Sadly, when I moved the sub-directory, I somehow managed to lose everything – including access to the dang thing. So, I’m starting over, trying to get the colors right and the layout right. It’s a headache, to say the least. And, to top it all off, the main site is still in a dang sub-directory!! I’m still working on the site, but it’s at least at a place where I’m not totally mortified to let people see it – so, I’m back.

The second reason is that all of the Obama Administration scandals got me overwhelmed. I couldn’t decide what which one to write about. I’d love to know your thoughts on these scandals. Which one is the one that just makes your blood boil? Which one, if any, do you think will ultimately cause some

These scandals coming to light shouldn’t be a surprise to those who’ve had their eyes open. This is just how Obama does business. Most of us only do something at work if we know it’s something that the boss is okay with us doing. Some “low level” employees are not going to take it upon themselves to target a group of people if they think they’re going to lose their job when it gets found out.

Obama has a history of targeting those who disagree with him. It’s always someone under him who does this outrageous “fact” gathering, but sooner or later, you’ve got to realize the pattern is quite clear. I’ll say it again, you only do things like this if your boss tells you to do them, or at the very least, if you know your boss would approve.

A short list of those who’ve been on the receiving end of his childish, vindictive, behavior:

I guess we all have a couple of choices to make. We either need to do a little housekeeping to make sure that we’ll get through any unwanted attention from the Obama Administration, or sit back, shut up, and watch our once proud United States of America become another socialist state where you’re not allowed to speak up at all.

Whistle Blowers, and Whistle Blowers, and Whistle Blowers
Several Race Opponents
and on and on …

One Conservative’s Impression of the Liberal Left Mind

I came across this quote a year or so ago but have no clue who wrote it, so if you do, please leave me a comment so that I can attribute it to him/her.

“Arguing with liberals is like playing chess with a pigeon. It doesn’t matter how good you are at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over all the pieces, crap on the board, and strut around the table looking victorious.”

I check quite a few conservative websites/news sites/blogs, etc. daily and I force myself to check a few left leaning sites a few times a week. I seriously do not understand the leftist mindset.

I read about a study that came out a few days ago proving that there is an actual brain composition difference between the conservative and the liberal brains. Considering that I am dumbfounded by how liberals can actually think the way that they do, I am inclined to believe it.

I was watching a YouTube video earlier today in which Piers Morgan argued with Dana Loesch about gun control. You can find the YouTube video here.

He asked her “ … is there any reason why a civilian would need a magazine clip, uh, magazine drums as it is now, of a 10 round limit or more?” Her reply was that she had just read a story today in which a man was attacked by a “gang of men” with bats and tire irons. His response? “What’s the point of that, of that anecdote?” Uhm …Piers, do you not recall the question you JUST asked her, to which she is now replying?? Hello?? Then he goes on to say “But Dana, Dana, why do you tell that story?”

Then he says that he’s watched the video of the attack, that the victim was attacked with “a bar of some sort” (remember, it’s a tire iron!!), and says “ … but he’s alive, he didn’t get killed.” He asks her if her “suggestion” is that “someone should’ve pulled a gun out and shot somebody.” Well, apparently he’d rather be beaten with bats and tire irons, but I will tell you right now, if I’m attacked in the middle of the street by a gang of men wielding weapons of any type, I’m not going to think twice – damn straight I’d shoot!

And about gun control, would you give me a break with your red herrings! Shut up about tanks, that is not even part of the discussion you nitwit! The simple FACT is that tightened gun control has not lessened crime in any state that has tightened them. Another simple FACT is that a criminal, or a mentally deranged person, is not going to give a damn about the law. The only people who are going to care are your law-abiding citizens, who will then be without protection (oh, wait, we could use our whistle!!) when the lawless attack us.

I seriously don’t understand how the left brain works. I go to the left blog comments and it’s full of hate and vitriolic diatribe aimed at the hateful, government hating, intolerable, racist right. I read the right blog comments and, though there are always ass wipes in every group, the vitriol is aimed more at why and how than who.

Most of the hate-filled, mean, filthy stuff said on conservative forums is directed toward leftist “trolls”. Maybe that’s rose-colored glasses, but I’m tellin’ ya, I seriously see a huge difference in the way that people are talked about between the left and the right.

Most of the hate-filled, mean, filthy stuff said on progressive/liberal forums is directed at everyone who doesn’t see things their way. Who’s the intolerable one again?

Stop with the red herrings and the name calling already. Act like civilized, mature adults. I can absolutely guarantee that you aren’t going to get me to even listen to your point of view if you can’t stick to the facts. Start with the leftist ploys of distract and attack and the “argument” is over. You lose.
